"Toyota Center Tegeta" was the supporter of NASA Space Apps Challenge 2023, the largest global hackathon in the world. After a two-day hackathon, the company revealed its favorite and awarded the BASE 2 team with a special prize.

The NASA Hackathon offers participants a different challenge each year, and they have to work on a theme individually or in groups. In 2023, Explore Open Science Together was chosen as the main theme. This time the participants had to find solutions to the biggest challenges of Earth and space.

Tea Manjavidze, marketing manager of "Toyota Center Tegeta":

"Toyota is a development-oriented company whose strategy is to create a better environment by using innovative technologies and taking care of Ecology. "Toyota Center Tegeta", of course, joins Toyota's global vision. We always welcome innovative ideas and engage in this project to contribute to the advancement and development of young people. As part of the NASA Space Apps Challenge, we witnessed a very interesting two-day hackathon. Our favorite even became Team BASE 2. They showed well with the video game what an important resource water is. We believe that the ideas presented will be implemented very soon and will contribute to the creation of a better world."

With Toyota's global vision, technological and environmental problems must be solved with innovative ideas and new technologies. It is this goal that the NASA Space Apps Challenge also serves to discover people who will change the world for the better.

Toyota's global strategy, Going Beyond, which aims to create a better world, covers several areas. One, using innovative technologies, is to create a product that will significantly reduce environmental pollution and allow people to live in a better, healthier world.

This year's Global Hackathon, which took place at more than 225 locations at once, was carried out in partnership with NASA and 13 space agencies.

This year was one of the most outstanding and large-scale, with a total of more than 100 applications registered in the hackathon and more than 20 participating teams gathered. NASA Space Apps Challenge 2023 was organized by the startup Bureau and Georgia's innovation and Technology Agency.
