Bela Burdzenidze has her own sewing salon in Tbilisi and several small bakeries. He has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. He has been driving the car for almost 30 years. She did not think about racing until one day, she was offered to participate in the International Women's Rally, which changed everything.
"A lot has changed in my life since I first took part in the rally. Today, I live from "Offroad" to "Offroad".
This year, to cover the distance of -1500 km, the participants started from Tbilisi. The finish line is marked in Batumi. The winners will be named on the boulevard of the seaside town.
This event has another mission, humanitarian. Participants will travel to highland villages and visit families deprived of benefits in loaded vehicles.
The crew pilot is Bela Burdzenidze and the steward is Lia Kvachadze. Toyota Center Tegeta helped them in the preparation, where they studied in detail all the nuances related to the new car. For 3 months, a number of test drives were organized on different terrain, however, the company's involvement does not end there, Toyota Center Tegeta is going to support and support until the end of the rally.
"We think there is no profession, activity or hobby unsuitable for a woman. In fact, in case of desire and interest, women are no less knowledgeable in cars, are good drivers, succeed in competitions as well. In such projects, women are given the opportunity to show their potential - we support gender equality and we think that a woman has a place wherever she wants, "- said Tea Manjavidze, Marketing Manager at Toyota Center Tegeta.
Bella is preparing for the victory and is also ready to overcome difficult locations. Each place is graded on a specific score, according to difficulty. It turns out that this year is a big competition - 40 crews from all over the world are participating.
"Most of them are professionals, but I came here in a very short time. The first time I was completely inexperienced, the second year I took the third place. I am proud of my success. My children, friends are proud of me. This is also an additional incentive, ”Bela Burdzenidze told us.
His area of interest is quite wide. He owns a bakery and a sewing shop, he has painted several children's entertainment centers in Tbilisi, he is a tattoo artist and loves to travel, but he talks about the rally with the greatest enthusiasm. She says that since 2019, when she first took part in the competition, a new stage in her life has begun.
"You know, before, I had moments, I was thinking about moving to another country. However, since I am participating in the rally, I have traveled all over Georgia, as if I rediscovered and fell in love with my country again. I do not want to go anywhere at all. Besides, it is unbelievable my life without a rally, whether October starts or not, there is nothing else for me.
"It's a whole new, different source of energy in my life."
